Einstein is our VP of "Being a Lazy Bumb" department, as well as Cookie's right paw man.

Since Cookie rarely ventures too far from her bed or food dish, she needed to find someone who could keep everyone in line when she was not around (especially since she is such a bully when she is around).

Einstein was the perfect choice, because he is the only cat we know who loves everyone, humans, felines and canines too!!

Cats are pretty well known for not being very accepting of new additions, at least during the first few days, however Einstein has never met a stranger and welcomes every new rescue right away.

Cajun Catopia will be Einstein's "forever home" since he does such a fantastic job of cleaning and watching over all the scared feral babies who show up. That is probably because, chances are high they are related, somewhere down the line, since most of our new rescues (currently) come from feral parents who so far, we have been unable to catch for the T-N-R (Trap-Neuter-Release) program.

*All fun aside, we do know cats have no clue when they are related. Sadly, many of our rescues however are in fact related.

We are currently in the process of catching all of the feral cats in our immediate area. As they are caught, they are spayed/neutered and given a rabies vaccination. They also have a small "notch" taken from their ear, to identify they have gone through the program (and don't accidentally get sent for surgery again) .

Adults are released back into the area where they were caught.

The babies (when ever possible) are kept in an attempt to tame them, and find their forever homes. Feral babies are only placed for adoption once they are tame, house trained and spayed/neutered.
